About me · Marcos Camacho Villardón

I’m Marcos Camacho Villardón. I study Business Administration at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and I’m the founder of Jurenza.
I’m passionate about business, technology, artificial intelligence and economics. This blog is where I think out loud about all of it: what I see, what catches my attention, my own experience and what I think.
Why this blog
My brain tends to turn into a kind of Tasmanian devil: it speeds up and thoughts, reflections and information start pouring in. Almost always, all of that ended up as scattered data and conclusions that were forgotten and that I never shared. That’s why I decided it was time to create this small corner with some of the things that cross my mind.
The name
At first glance the name may seem confusing, but deep down it’s simple: Mark is Marcos in English. And a mark is also the mark of a limit: the line that draws a boundary, the frame of what is normal, of what is common.
Out of the Mark defines the way I think. I tend to stray from the path, to look for radically different approaches and perspectives, because looking at everything from the same spot is limiting yourself. That’s why I think it’s so important to step outside the lines: it’s the only way to see what most people ignore.
What I write about
- Business and strategy. Business models, decisions and the logic behind how companies compete.
- Economics and markets. Finance, markets and the economic mechanisms that explain what goes on around us.
- Artificial intelligence. What AI can really do, where it adds value and where it doesn’t yet.
- Technology. Technological change that affects companies and people, told with context.
